Hana Gouda, ranked 32nd in the world, was eliminated by Dutch player Britt Eerland, who is ranked 74th, with a score of (4-0) in a disastrous result, thus ending her participation in the women’s singles table tennis event at the Round of 64.

In a statement on her official Facebook page, Hana Gouda said:

“I am sorry. I know I didn’t live up to the expectations in yesterday’s match, and I apologize to you. I promise that I will continue, correct my mistakes, and improve myself.”

Hana has been subject to backlash ever since..

While some have taken to the comments in defense of the 16 year old..

But its not over for the young champ after all..

Hana Gouda’s participation in the Paris 2024 Olympics is not over yet, as she will still compete with the Egyptian women’s table tennis team.
