Ibrahim Eissa Praised “Al Daheeh” And It Backfired Big Time

Manar Eissa

Ibrahim Eissa praised Al Daheeh, calling it “the most important and successful cultural, scientific, and Arab enlightenment work of the last decade.” He highlighted the impact of Ahmed Elghandour’s show in sparking curiosity and education. However, Eissa’s endorsement had unintended consequences for Al Daheeh, as many began to associate Elghandour’s work with Eissa’s controversial beliefs on sensitive topics.

Some critics argue that both Ibrahim Eissa and Ahmed Elghandour share and promote views that challenge religious and cultural norms, accusing them of sowing doubt and encouraging atheistic ideas.

Meanwhile, Eissa, known for his controversial opinions, has stirred controversy in the past. He previously questioned the authenticity of the Islamic miracle of the Ascension, calling it a “fake story” and suggesting that historical and religious texts contradict its occurrence.

On the other side, Elghandour has stated clearly that his aim is to create content that inspires and educates students, promoting intellectual and cultural progress through science and history. He warned that without such efforts, fundamentalism would dominate societies like his.

Despite his intentions, Elghandour has faced accusations of spreading atheism, with critics citing episodes about parallel universes, the history of hell, and other controversial topics.
