Local banks will begin opening accounts for free and with no minimum balance, starting today and continuing until October 31, in celebration of Global Financial Inclusion Week and World Savings Day.

The Central Bank has confirmed the necessity of opening accounts for new customers without any fees and with no minimum balance, as well as issuing prepaid or debit cards for customers and encouraging them to activate and use these cards for purchasing transactions.
