Menofia University Medicine Students Donated EGP 600K To The University Hospital!

Raghad Khaled

In a wholesome initiative, Medicine interns of Menofia University decided to celebrate their graduation by giving back to their university and community! The students decided not to spend money on their graduation party, and allocated that money towards donating medical supplies to the University hospital!

The graduating class of 39, was able to raise an amount of EGP 600K and donated a nursery to the hospital at the cost of 250 thousand pounds!

You would think they would use the rest of the money to hold their graduation ceremony, right? WRONG! The students went out of their way and decided to purchase an echocardiogram with the rest of the money, and the devices have already been donated to the hospital!

When asked why they would do this instead of celebrating like every class, one student representative said “All we aspire to from this donation is a successful beginning of our careers.

They stressed that the incubator and equipment they donated are among the hospital’s most important devices and will serve a large number of families, especially those with limited income, hoping that the two projects will be of good value and help save human lives.
