Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population Creates A Mental Health Website!

The Ministry of Health created a website for Mental Health patients back in 2022 under the name of the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment!

On March 8th, the ministry announced that 70,000 Egyptians have visited the website since its establishment.

The official spokesman of the Ministry, Dr. Hayam Abdel Ghaffar, stated in a press release that this number of visitors aligns with the Ministry’s framework of providing psychological services, counseling, and addiction treatments.

The platform also aligns with the Ministry’s plan to educate Egyptian citizens on obtaining medical consultations through an online platform.

The official spokesman also stated that more than 19,000 questionnaires were conducted along with more than 4000 treatment sessions.

The Secretary General of the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment stated that the platform was visited by 57% of females and 43% of males.
