Mustafa Kamel, the head of the Music Syndicate, announced the referral of Hamo Bika and Omar Kamal for investigation due to the song “You’re Corrupt,” which some perceived as offensive to women.

In a post on his personal Facebook account, Kamel stated, “In response to what I have seen and what has been broadcast by various media outlets, I have decided to assign Dr. Mohamed Abdullah, the head of the Investigation and Dispute Resolution Committee, to inform the legal affairs department to immediately summon Omar Kamal and Hamo Bika for investigation.”

In response to the decision by the Musicians Syndicate to investigate him and Omar Kamal due to changing the lyrics of the song “You’re a Teacher” to “You’re Corrupt,” Hamo Bika, the festival singer, stated, “Our intention was not to offend women. Omar Kamal and I were just joking around, as usual, in the social media videos. We’re accustomed to creating videos that entertain our audience and make them laugh. Of course, we are cooperating with the Syndicate now that they have announced an investigation.”
