Egypt Welcomes Over 4.5 Million Tourists In The First Quarter Of 2023

Tourism is on the rise!

Tourism is booming! The Ministry of Tourism revealed that Egypt is at a steady increase of incoming tourists this year, accounting over 4.5 million tourists at the beginning of 2023 until last April. Furthermore, aiming to reach 15 million this year to 19 million in 2024.

How the Grand Egyptian Museum will benefit Egypt’s Tourism:

The Grand Egyptian Museum is one of the most monumental and archeological showcases of the Egyptian culture, and history in the world. Egyptian tourism has always relied on tourists taking one-day trips to either the Red Sea or South Sinai. However, with the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, the ministry of tourism expects an influx of tourists, amounting to 1 million tourists annually.

The 52-acre project:

General Supervisor of the Grand Egyptian Museum, Atef Muftah, plans to build hotels overlooking the Grand Egyptian Museum, as well as building huge investment areas such as Universal Studio and different recreational activities for both locals and tourists to enjoy and to accommodate the influx of tourists expected to visit in the upcoming years.
