Veteran Actor Nabil Al-Halfawy Passes Away at 77 After Sudden Health Crisis
The renowned actor Nabil Al-Halfawy has passed away at the age of 77 following a severe health issue caused by chest complications. He was transferred to the hospital and placed in the intensive care unit, where his condition deteriorated in recent hours until his passing.
Al-Halfawy was admitted to the hospital last Tuesday, and his family chose not to disclose the details of his health crisis, instead asking for prayers. However, many of his colleagues in the entertainment industry, including director Amr Arafa, actor Salah Abdullah, and actress Riham Abdel Ghafour, shared their wishes and prayers upon learning of his critical condition.

Nabil Al-Halfawy’s last appearance in a film was in Tasleem Ahali (2022), where he appeared in a guest role alongside stars such as Donia Samir Ghanem, Hisham Magdy, Bayoumi Fouad, and Dalia Abdel Aziz. The film was written by Sherif Naguib and directed by Khaled Al-Halfawy.
Nabil Al-Halfawy was born on April 22, 1947, in Sayeda Zeinab. After graduating from the Faculty of Commerce, he pursued his passion for acting by enrolling at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, graduating in 1970. He began his artistic journey on stage with numerous plays before transitioning to television, making his debut in the series Mohamed Rasool Allah (part one) in 1980. His career spanned decades, with a rich legacy of performances in both theater and television.
