Russian Is To Be Taught As A Second Language In Schools

The Russian Ministry of Education has announced cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education which led to an agreement that states that the Russian Language will be taught as a second language in schools and colleges in Egypt.

The announcement was made during a meeting between an Egyptian and Russian inter-governmental commission on Trade-Economic, Industrial Scientific, and Technological Cooperation.

The Egyptian Ministry did not specify the school year in which the new second language will be introduced to students.

This decision follows the recent decision made to include the french language as “mandatory” as a second language in Egyptian Public schools.
