Cairo International Airport authorities arrested Egyptian singer Saad Al-Soghair. He was returning from a trip to the United States. Narcotics were found in his possession.

Al-Soghair had traveled to the U.S. for a scheduled performance. He was detained during a routine security search at the airport. During this search, drugs listed on Egypt’s controlled substances schedule were found in his luggage.

According to initial reports, Al-Soghair immediately admitted that the substances were for personal use. He stated they were not meant for distribution or sale.
