In a new development in the crisis involving the artist Sherine Abdel-Wahab and her ex-husband Hossam Habib, Sherine has decided to sue the individuals who recorded, leaked, and disseminated the video showing her smashing up her own recording studio.
Sherine has instructed her legal advisor and spokesperson, Yasser Qantoush, to file a complaint against these individuals responsible for spreading the video. In the video, Sherine appeared in casual clothing and was visibly angry.
Qantoush confirmed that he has already submitted a complaint to the Public Prosecutor, case number 41792 for the year 2024, against those who leaked and published the video. He emphasized the psychological harm caused to Sherine due to the inappropriate video, especially since Sherine was inside her private studio and not in a public place.
Regarding the video, a close source to Sherine revealed that Habib was among the people involved in the aforementioned complaint. He allegedly filmed the video using his mobile phone and sent it to some media outlets to justify his position and what subsequently happened between him and Sherine.

The source clarified that it was not permissible for Habib to film this video, especially since Sherine was wearing inappropriate clothing, given that she was inside a private studio and in a state of extreme anger. It is not permissible to display her in this manner in front of the public.
It is worth noting that the New Cairo Public Prosecutor’s Office had previously decided to release Habib on bail of 5,000 Egyptian pounds pending investigation, on charges of assaulting the singer Sherine inside her apartment in the First Settlement. The Public Prosecutor’s Office also ordered a swift investigation into the incident and summoned the artist to hear her statement.
