The artist Sherine Abdel Wahab fell into a deep state of sadness after the Musicians’ Syndicate announced an investigation into her, following recent events at her last concert in Kuwait.
A close source to Sherine revealed that she was shocked upon hearing about the investigation, saying, “Is this the reward for my return? I don’t understand what’s going on exactly.”
The source added that Sherine and her manager are expected to contact artist Mustafa Kamel by phone to reveal the full details behind the incident.

On the other hand, the Musicians’ Syndicate, led by artist Mustafa Kamel, issued a press statement regarding Sherine Abdel Wahab’s recent controversy, which sparked widespread debate. During her concert in Kuwait, she made a comment about the late composer Mohamed Rahim, saying to the audience, “Mohamed Rahim made many beautiful songs for me, including ‘Masha’er,’ ‘Sabri Qaleel,’ and ‘Al Watar Al Hassas.’ Maybe we can all read Al-Fatiha for him so it becomes a continuous charity.”
The head of the Musicians’ Syndicate, artist Mustafa Kamel, stated in the press release: “For two whole days, I watched the video of artist Sherine Abdel Wahab during her concert in the beloved sisterly country of Kuwait, and I reasoned with both my mind and heart about what was said by her, both in voice and in front of the audience, the orchestra, and the cameras.”
He added, “This time, reason prevailed over my feelings, and my mind won over the emotions of my heart, which has often sympathized with, supported, and made excuses for the great artist Sherine Abdel Wahab. My mind cried out to my soul, saying: What happened with Sherine Abdel Wahab this time can only be considered as reckless and a disregard for all religious, societal, human, and artistic values, and it warrants accountability.”
