The Egyptian Meteorological Authority announced earlier that Egypt will witness a surge in temperature and humidity starting in August.
Meteorological satellites also showed multiple rain clouds in many areas in Egypt, including upper Egypt.
Additionally, these areas will also experience the highest temperatures, reaching 45 Celsius during the daylight hours.
The authority also added that very hot weather is expected to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai, and the south of the country in August, with hot humid weather along the northern coasts.
They also attributed the high rise in temperature due to the Indian seasonal depression which its effect will most probably be increased by the month of August.
It also added that these heatwaves will most probably continue in the upcoming years due to climate change.
