The oldest museum for Antiquities in the world, The Egyptian Museum, just unveiled more of its secret artifacts earlier this week. The Egyptian Museum is constantly evolving through renovation and exhibitions to maintain its glorious reputation among other international museums.
The Museum has been around for 120 years and is considered to be an icon, in comparison to other international museums, said Ahmed Eissa, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.
The museum has been undergoing renovation through the cooperation between the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the European Union.
Apart from the cooperation between The Ministry and the EU, the Egyptian museum also collaborated and partnered with 5 other international museums.
The collaboration between the entities resulted in the establishment of a new strategic vision for the museum and opened newly updated rooms and exhibits which will reportedly increase the number of annual visitors to the museum.
Additionally, the strategic framework that the museum will adopt will allow it to leave the United Nations cultural agency UNESCO’s Tentative List of World Heritage and join the World Heritage List!
During the opening earlier this week, the museum unveiled multiple artifacts to the public that weren’t publicly previewed.
