The Egyptian National Railway Introduces New App Feature

Today morning, The Egyptian National Railway Authority introduced a new feature on their Mobile Application.

The feature allows passengers to book their train tickets online. Additionally, the Ministry of Transport also clarified that passengers will no longer need to wait on train counters, as they can use the digital tickets on their phones.

They also added that passengers have the choice to either print the ticket or show it to the conductor upon their request.

Furthermore, this new update comes in the implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, on the need to use the latest global systems in the field of communication and information technology, and digital transformation in all ministries and government agencies within Egypt’s development Vision 2030.

Additionally, within the framework of the keenness of the Ministry of Transport, represented by the Railways Authority, to provide all modern means for booking railway tickets in order to facilitate the citizens.

The Egyptian National Railways announced in a statement issued today the availability of the service of booking railway tickets “online” through the website The Egyptian National Railways Authority on the Internet and through a mobile application, in cooperation with the technology company operating financial facilities, “e-Finance”, affiliated to the “E-Finance” group for financial and digital investments.
