The First COVID-19 Pill Is Dropping In Egyptian Pharmacies

Avatar

Ever since the onset of the pandemic, treatment of COVID-19 in Egypt has not had a dedicated at-home oral medication.

Now, the Ministry of Health and Population has agreed to release Molnupiravir to the public

Each box contains 40 capsules, at a price of EGP 420, which is enough for a five-day course of treatment, which is the period of home isolation.

Releasing the drug in pharmacies was announced after it was added to the COVID-19 treatment protocol in hospitals, and was shown to achieve stable results.
