The New Administrative Capital From A Futuristic Lens

Malak Nazir

The New Administrative Capital is one of Egypt’s mega projects that people are excited to see it come to life. Amateur photographer, Asmaa El Touny, showcases her imagination of the future of the New Administrative Capital through a series of photos that seamlessly blend modern architectural marvels with ancient Egyptian design elements.

A futuristic government building is envisioned to stand tall and grandly. The artist designed the building to be characterized by sleek and modern lines. It is enhanced by hieroglyphic engravings and statues of pharaohs, blending the contemporary with the ancient.

Cairo is the Arab version of the city that never sleeps. Hence, a bustling metro station is a must! The metro station is usually a place where technology and design coexist with motifs inspired by ancient Egyptian temples. The station incorporates columns shaped like papyrus and lotus plants, reminiscent of the architectural features seen in ancient times.

The creator also imagines a wide, tree-lined boulevard positioned in the heart of the New Administrative Capital alongside contemporary thoroughfares and skyscrapers with traditional Egyptian art and symbols.

Lastly, a beautiful public park is pictured, featuring modern techniques that evoke the enchanting gardens of ancient Luxor. The park incorporates small obelisks and stone carvings, paying homage to the historical heritage while embracing contemporary aesthetics.
