The British Museum is considered the biggest museum of stolen artifacts, having looted valuable pieces from Egypt, Greece, and multiple other great civilizations. Despite Egypt’s numerous efforts, the British Museum still refused to return Egyptian artifacts to its rightful owners.
However, while some resort to launching petitions and taking a somewhat legal protocol, others have resorted to other methods morally compelling the British Museum and the British government to repatriate these looted artifacts, like this man.

John Navarre is an American entrepreneur, and Egypt enthusiast who was spotted conducting the first protest of its kind at the British Museum, urging them to return stolen artifacts, including the Rosetta Stone!
According to Navarre, his mission is “to morally compel the British Museum and the British Government to unconditionally return the world’s most famous looted artifact to its original and rightful owners, the government and people of Egypt.”
His motto “because egypt shouldn’t have to fight alone” stands as a steadfast expression of support for egypt pursuit to repatriate its stolen artifacts.
Navarre has launched a website in order to collect signatures, and inform the petitioners about Egypt’s most valued stolen artifact.
This is not the first time the British Museum has been asked to return the stone to its original owner, for Ex-Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and Egyptologist Zahi Hawass has launched multiple petitions to repatriate the Rosetta Stone which is currently in England, the Dendra Zodian which in France, and the Bust of Nefertiti, which is currently in Germany.
