Mo Salah Burglary Verdict: Two Defendants Receive Five-Year Jail Terms

According to state-run Ahram Online, an Egyptian court has sentenced two individuals to five years in prison each for their involvement in the burglary of a Cairo villa owned by Egyptian and Liverpool football star Mo Salah. The burglary occurred in March 2023, during which the perpetrators stole various items including sports shoes, a silver medal, and TV receivers.

Following a report from one of Salah’s relatives about the burglary, authorities swiftly apprehended the culprits and recovered the stolen items. The suspicion arose due to an open window and signs of disturbance inside the villa.

Salah Yet to Comment on Incident

Salah, who holds the record for the most goals scored by a Liverpool player in the English Premier League, has yet to make a statement regarding the incident.
