Upcoming Transition: Daylight Saving Time To Winter Time
It has been decided that daylight saving time will continue until Thursday, October 26th, at 11:59 PM, with the clock set back by 60 minutes. Winter time will start at midnight on October 27th, 2023, and will continue throughout the winter for a period of 6 months.
Thus, the total duration of daylight saving time applied will be a complete 6 months.
The Cabinet had decided to start daylight saving time on the last Friday of last April, by moving the clock forward by 60 minutes. This decision was made with the aim of conserving various energy resources such as electricity, diesel, gasoline, and gas.
