Asmaa Galal has taken legal steps following her appearance on the Ramadan prank show Ramez Level El Wahsh, hosted by Ramez Galal.
Through Saada & Aboulkomsan Law Firm, she stated that offensive voiceover commentary, including body-shaming and personal insinuations, was added in post-production without her knowledge.
Her lawyer announced that the legal team is reviewing the episode to determine whether the content violates Egyptian law, emphasizing that human dignity should never be compromised for the sake of entertainment.

The first episode of the show featured Asmaa Galal as a guest in a staged near-drowning prank designed to create fear and tension. The scenario left her visibly distressed and in tears on air, sparking immediate concern among viewers.
In addition to the on-screen prank, the show’s introductory voiceover and commentary included sarcastic remarks about her body, gym habits, and personal life. According to Asmaa, these comments crossed the line from acceptable humor into personal offense and body-related mockery.
The episode ignited widespread debate online. Many viewers expressed support for Asmaa Galal, praising her decision to take legal action and defending her right to dignity. They criticized the show for turning guests into targets for personal ridicule under the guise of comedy.
On the other hand, some argued that guests on Ramez’s shows over the years are aware of the show’s prank format and provocative style, suggesting that participants should anticipate exaggerated or edgy humor.
