Your Cinema Admission And Train Tickets Are Getting Additional Charges

New decision by the Ministry of Social Solidarity announced…

The Ministry of Social Solidarity has issued Decision No. 859 for the year 2023 regarding the imposition of additional fees for cinema admissions, amusement parks, train tickets, telegraphs, telephone calls, and postal messages, all for a duration of one month. These fees will contribute to the Support Fund for Associations and Non-Governmental Organizations.

According to Article 1 of the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s decision, the following additional fees shall be imposed for a period of one month, starting from December 1, 2023:

For each cinema and amusement park entry fee.
For each second-class and first-class train ticket.
For each telegraph or telephone (trunk) call.
For each postal message.

The fees will be credited to the Support Fund for Associations and Non-Governmental Organizations

The Ministry of Social Solidarity further emphasized that the proceeds from these additional fees, as outlined in Article 1 of this decision, shall be credited to the Support Fund for Associations and Non-Governmental Organizations – an independent general authority. This is in accordance with the provisions of the Law Regulating the Practice of Non-Governmental Work, issued by Law No. 149 of 2019, and the fund will be managed in Egyptian pounds through Banque Misr.
