According to Article 1 of the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s decision, the following additional fees shall be imposed for a period of one month, starting from December 1, 2023:

1. For each cinema and amusement park entry fee.
2. For each second-class and first-class train ticket.
3. For each telegraph or telephone (trunk) call.
4. For each postal message.

The fees will be credited to the Support Fund for Associations and Non-Governmental Organizations

The Ministry of Social Solidarity further emphasized that the proceeds from these additional fees, as outlined in Article 1 of this decision, shall be credited to the Support Fund for Associations and Non-Governmental Organizations – an independent general authority. This is in accordance with the provisions of the Law Regulating the Practice of Non-Governmental Work, issued by Law No. 149 of 2019, and the fund will be managed in Egyptian pounds through Banque Misr.
