TikTok, the platform known for its viral dance challenges, comedic skits, and trends, has recently seen a new, and far less glamorous, trend emerge: influencer arrests.
In a wave of incidents that have shocked both followers and the general public, six TikTokers were arrested for a variety of offenses ranging from inappropriate content to serious criminal activities.
Here’s everything you need to know about the recent arrests and the reactions that followed.

According to the Ministry of Interior, one of the arrests involved TikToker Modahem. The influencer was apprehended for sharing videos that contained inappropriate language, violating social media norms.
But that’s not all. Upon further investigation, authorities found him in possession of a large sum of cash, gold jewelry, and a stash of drugs, including hashish and opium.
After the wave of arrests, another well-known TikToker, Mohamed Shaker, took to his platform to address the situation.
Going live on TikTok, he defended his content, claiming that it had never hurt anyone and that his followers knew him for being appropriate and respectful.
However, shortly after his live stream, news began circulating that Shaker himself had been arrested. The charges were serious: “for assaulting family values and misusing social media”.
Authorities also discovered that Shaker was in possession of an unlicensed firearm, alongside a significant amount of drugs, including hashish and methamphetamine (known locally as “Ice”). Shaker, along with his manager, admitted to having the drugs for personal use.
Suzy El Ordoneya’s arrest followed a similar pattern. The popular TikToker was detained for posting videos on social media that included inappropriate language and violated public morals.
Authorities found that she had crossed the line by misusing the platform, leading to her arrest.
Two other TikTokers, Om Sajda and Om Makkah, were also arrested in connection with their social media activities. These influencers faced charges for posting videos that violated public morals and misused social media.
In addition to the content-related offenses, questions were raised about the sources of their wealth, with some speculating that their flashy lifestyles might not be entirely legitimate and their profits could not be solely dependent on TikTok earnings.
TikToker Alia Kamaron was arrested soon after, following accusations of using social media inappropriately. While details of her arrest have not been disclosed as extensively as those of the other influencers, it’s clear that the authorities are taking a firm stance against content that crosses the line, especially when it involves large followings.
Alia’s arrest further highlighted the ongoing crackdown on TikTok influencers, many of whom have been accused of promoting inappropriate behaviors.
The arrests have led to a divided public opinion. On one hand, many people see these arrests as well-deserved, believing that these influencers have been pushing the boundaries of acceptable content for too long.
On the other hand, some followers have come to the defense of the arrested influencers. Many believe that these TikTokers have been unfairly targeted and that their content, while controversial, is no different from the often-provocative nature of social media as a whole.
