Casualties and Rescue Efforts

Rescue teams managed to pull four survivors from the wreckage, but tragically, two people were found dead. This morning, the efforts continued as teams successfully extracted a woman and two young men.

While the woman was barely conscious, the two men were unresponsive when they were found. All three survivors were quickly taken to the hospital for medical care.

In addition to these survivors, local residents have reported that there could still be children and other families trapped inside the building. Rescue teams are continuing their efforts to ensure that no one else is left under the debris.

What’s Next?

In light of the collapse, Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber ordered the evacuation of the building next to the one that collapsed as a precaution. Residents were moved out of the neighboring building until it is confirmed to be safe.

Additionally, an engineering team has been dispatched to inspect both the collapsed structure and nearby properties to assess their stability.

The authorities are closely monitoring the situation, and efforts will continue to ensure the safety of the area while investigations into the cause of the collapse begin.
