Earlier today, a train collision took place in El Minya Governorate, resulting in a dramatic scene as two train carriages ended up falling into a body of water. Rescue teams have been dispatched to the site to assist the injured passengers, and emergency operations are in full swing.

The Civil Protection Forces wasted no time in responding to the accident. Equipped with cranes and heavy machinery, teams are currently working to separate the vehicles and retrieve the carriages that were submerged in the water. The primary focus is on the safe evacuation of passengers and providing medical care to those injured.
In an official statement, the Egyptian Railway Authority confirmed the accident and highlighted the immediate actions taken. Team Kamal El-Wazir, Minister of Industry and Transport, personally headed to the site of the incident. The Minister has also formed a committee of railway specialists to investigate the technical causes behind the collision.
According to the latest reports from the Health Directorate, 19 people were injured in the collision. Fortunately, there have been no confirmed fatalities. Emergency services acted swiftly, deploying 23 ambulances to the scene to transport the injured to nearby hospitals.
