What’s the Story?

This girl, who had been eyeing a high-end perfume for a while , finally decided to purchase the luxurious fragrance she had tested time and time again. She’d sprayed the tester at the store, asked for opinions, and received nothing but praise from everyone around her.

The scent was supposed to be magical, a must-have for anyone wanting to feel like a queen or a king… because it’s unisex. After hearing glowing reviews and seeing a price tag to match, she was convinced it was the right choice.

With excitement and a hint of nervousness, she and her husband bought the perfume and eagerly sprayed it on as soon as they got home.

Plot Twist… No Scent?

But when they tried it out, something was off. The fragrance was barely noticeable.

In fact, after spraying more than they usually would, the scent still couldn’t be detected. They went from the standard “spray and sniff” to asking everyone around them if they could smell anything…and got nothing but confused stares in return.

This wasn’t the magical fragrance they had experienced at the store, nor was it anything like the perfume they had imagined.

With questions swirling in her mind, she returned to the store, hoping for some clarity and perhaps a refund.

However, the store had an unexpected response: they said the issue would need to be investigated at the brand’s headquarters. This meant no exchange, no refund, and no solution until the branch had time to figure out what went wrong with the product.

The Debate: Is This Common in Egypt?

Her experience quickly gained attention on social media, sparking an intense debate.

Some people argued that it’s not unusual for high-end perfumes in Egypt to sometimes feel less potent and pointed to a larger issue with luxury perfume sales in Egypt.

But others were quick to dismiss these claims, suggesting that the fragrance might have simply come from a different batch, which could explain the variation in scent strength.

The store called her back with some good news. They decided to make an exception and refund her money, despite initially stating they would need to wait for the investigation.

Not only that, but they also offered her a few perfume samples as a consolation prize.

While this resolution didn’t entirely erase the frustration of the initial disappointment, it did leave her with a sense of satisfaction. After all, a refund and a few freebies were a pretty nice turnaround for a story that started with a lot of confusion and a very faint scent.
