A statement made by the Egyptian Cabinet announced the building of an entertainment city on 4.18 million square meters near Sharm El Sheikh Airport, with the participation of the private sector.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to review the procedures for utilizing the investment zone at Sharm El-Sheikh Airport, in the presence of Mohamed Abbas Helmy, Minister of Civil Aviation, Ahmed Mansour, President of the Egyptian Airports Company, and Khaled Saadallah, project consultant, as well as officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
During the meeting, the Minister of Aviation presented a project to utilize an area of the Sharm El-Sheikh Airport campus to establish an entertainment city, noting in this regard that one of the consulting offices had been assigned to prepare a brochure of conditions and specifications.
He also stressed that a market study of the region had been conducted in coordination with investors in the field of tourism in the region to determine the most appropriate ways to use the piece of land.
He explained that the area can be exploited through implementation in three stages, where a commercial area is established, and another area is used to establish an entertainment area, a hotel, a sports club, or an entertainment city.
