The news of the death was announced by Mohamed Youssef, the brother of the artist Hassan Youssef, and he wrote on his account on the social media account “Facebook”: “We belong to God and Him we shall return.

My older brother, the veteran artist Hassan Youssef, passed away a short while ago. May God bless him with his vast mercy.”

Hassan Youssef excelled in the world of cinema and presented a large number of works, including “I Am Free,” “Shafiqa Al-Qibtiya,” “Sins,” “The Hardest Permission,” “The Cat and the Quail,” “The Three Adventurers,” and he presented a number of series, including “Layali al-Hilmiyya,” “Buji,” “Tamtam,” “Great Judges,” “Zahra and Her Five Husbands,” and others.

Hassan Youssef’s losing his son, Abdallah

It is noteworthy that the family of the artist Hassan Youssef was saddened on July 30, 2023, by the death of their youngest son, Abdullah, who drowned while swimming in one of the villages on the northern coast. It turned out that the deceased had arrived at the hospital and his vital body functions had stopped, according to what was shown by the medical examination that confirmed his death.

The late Hassan Youssef had announced his retirement from acting following his son’s tragic death.

He had announced in a statement “After the death of my son Abdullah, I saw that acting was not needed… and I thank all the audience for their sympathy with me and for participating in my grief over the loss of my son, and until now I receive many condolences.”
