Shaymaa Qenawy shared that her ride became alarming after she believed the driver was holding a knife-like object.

She said the driver seemed visibly irritated when he realized the ride was long. Concerned, Shaymaa even offered to cancel the trip, but he refused.
The situation worsened when the driver started asking about her workplace, and she noticed him holding what appeared to be a switchblade, moving it in unusual ways that made her feel unsafe.
The moment she spotted a gas station, she got out and canceled the ride immediately.
Once Shaymaa shared her experience online, the story quickly went viral. The Ministry of Interior acted promptly, clarifying that no official complaints had been filed. Authorities, however, tracked down the car and questioned the driver.
He explained that the object was not a weapon but a broken plastic piece from the car’s interior, which Shaymaa had mistaken for a knife. Legal procedures were carried out to ensure the matter was properly addressed.
