“He Was Killed in Broad Daylight”: Student Fatally Stabbed Near University Sparks Outrage Online
Mohamed Hany, a university student, was fatally stabbed near his campus, leaving students and the online community in shock and grief.
The tragic incident occurred following a prior dispute between Mohamed and another student, reportedly over a personal disagreement involving a girl.
Following the incident, Mohamed’s body was found covered in blood. Witnesses were interviewed and nearby security cameras were reviewed as part of the initial investigation.
Evidence was preserved, a police report was filed, and the body was transferred to the hospital morgue.

The incident quickly sparked outrage online. Students shared messages of grief and disbelief, posting Mohamed’s photo and urging others to pray for him.
Some questioned how a disagreement could escalate so violently, asking how the situation spiraled out of control and why no one was able to stop it.
Official Reports and Arrest
Later, the Cairo Security Directorate confirmed receiving a report from a hospital stating that a student had died after arriving with a stab wound to the chest.
Authorities were able to identify and arrest the suspect. When confronted, he admitted to committing the crime, stating that the altercation stemmed from disagreements between them regarding a friendship with a girl.
Legal procedures were taken, and the Public Prosecution has taken over the investigation.
