From His Point of View…

In a recent interview, Ahmed explained that he voluntarily left their marital home for eight months, moving between his mother’s house and a hotel.

He said he did this to reduce tension and give Hana the space she needed while she was filming, hoping this gesture would ease the pressure on her and help their relationship end respectfully.

He wanted to make things easier for her, even if it meant putting himself in a difficult position.

According to Fahmy, the decision wasn’t easy, and those months were emotionally draining. But he believed it was the right thing to do at the time.

What shocked him, however, was feeling like the effort went unrecognized. “I left the house for her… and she didn’t appreciate it,” he said, expressing disappointment at how his attempt to support her was received.

Fahmy added that what hurt the most was seeing private issues from their marriage discussed publicly on television, something he never expected and something he insists had never happened in his previous relationships.

Comparisons That Add To The Hurt

Ahmed spoke candidly about his previous marriages to Menna Hussein Fahmy and Shahd Ramzy, saying that despite both ending in divorce, the breakups remained respectful and private. No one ever spoke about him publicly, and the separation was handled quietly.

This made the current situation with Hana more painful, he said, because he felt the boundaries of privacy were crossed. For him, the core issue wasn’t just the end of the marriage, it was how the details reached the public.
