The incident, which took place at New Capital School, sparked widespread outrage after the student’s father shared the story online, prompting the Ministry of Education to launch an immediate investigation.
According to the father, his daughter and several other students whose parents were late in paying fees were separated from their classmates and placed in a different room without prior notice.
The children were reportedly denied access to water and bathrooms during the three-hour period.
He also stated that the school insisted on cash-only payments, rejected electronic payment methods, and failed to issue a formal apology, later claiming the situation was a mix-up in names.
The story quickly went viral, drawing criticism from parents and educators who demanded accountability. In response, the Ministry of Education dispatched a committee to the school to verify the details and review its financial and administrative operations.

Following the investigation, the Ministry confirmed that New Capital School had violated regulations governing private education and student rights.
As a result, the school was placed under full financial and administrative supervision, and the officials involved were referred for legal and disciplinary action.
The Ministry also stressed that it will continue to monitor private and international schools to ensure adherence to official guidelines regarding tuition collection and student treatment. It reaffirmed that no educational institution has the right to punish or isolate students for financial reasons, emphasizing that the well-being of students must always come first.
