Nour El Nabawy Accused of Hit-and-Run Scandal

New developments have emerged in the hit-and-run incident involving young Egyptian actor Nour El Nabawy, which resulted in a broken leg for an Egyptian Electricity Company employee.

Amr El Kady, the victim’s lawyer, revealed all the details during a phone call on the “Kalam El Nas” program on MBC Masr.

He stated that after the accident, the young actor spoke politely with the victim, asking about his condition and his family, and assured him that he would stay by his side until the matter was resolved.

Afterward, Nour El Nabawy contacted his assistants, who arrived quickly and asked the actor to leave, promising they would stay with the employee until everything was settled.

The lawyer explained that the assistants never saw Nour El Nabawy again, and when they offered to take the victim to the hospital, he told them he had medical insurance that would cover his treatment.

Then the financial negotiations began, with the assistants initially offering 50,000 EGP, which later increased to 150,000 EGP after they learned the treatment would take six months.

The lawyer approached the victim, Wael Samir, and urged him to file an official police report against the actor, but the victim refused, saying he had given his word to the actor and would not file a report.

However, what happened next was unexpected — Nour El Nabawy and his assistants disappeared and stopped answering phone calls. The lawyer commented, “They didn’t pay a single pound… This is the first time I see a defendant chasing clout.”

The lawyer confirmed that he and his client filed an official complaint against Nour El Nabawy on Saturday.

He also stated that he would demand a drug test for the young actor, given rumors that his behavior at the time of the accident was erratic.

Before ending the call, the lawyer addressed Nour El Nabawy directly, saying: “You still have the chance to resolve this matter.”
