What was meant to be a joyful wedding celebration quickly spiraled into chaos after Egyptian authorities were forced to intervene and shut down the wedding of TikToker Krawan Mashakel, who recently married the granddaughter of late singer Shaaban Abdel Rahim.
According to reports, security forces arrived at the venue following widespread claims of disturbances involving guests and bodyguards. The situation escalated due to severe overcrowding, with witnesses reporting aggressive pushing, harassment incidents, and an unsafe environment inside the hall.
The venue owner later confirmed that while no physical fights were recorded, the crowd surge was intense enough to warrant immediate police intervention. Authorities stepped in to disperse the gathering and restore order after the situation became difficult to control.

The incident quickly gained traction online, especially given the controversial nature of the marriage itself. Prior to the wedding, Shaaban Abdel Rahim’s nephew and singer Adaweya Shaaban Abdel Rahim publicly expressed his strong disapproval of the engagement, stating that he had objected to the match and felt the family’s reputation was being harmed.
Following the dispersal of the event, Krawan Mashakel was arrested in the Hadayek Al-Qobba area in connection with the disturbances and alleged altercations that occurred during the wedding.
While authorities continue to investigate the incident, the wedding — intended to be a high-profile celebration — has instead become one of the most talked-about events on Egyptian social media, sparking debate over influencer fame, crowd control, and public safety at large gatherings.
