Egypt Issues Messages of Solidarity to Gulf States Following Iranian Missile Strikes

Following a series of Iranian missile and drone attacks on multiple Arab countries after a large‑scale U.S. and Israeli military operation against Iran, President Abdel Fattah El‑Sisi conducted a series of phone calls with Gulf and Arab leaders to reaffirm Egypt’s position on sovereignty, regional security, and the importance of diplomatic de‑escalation.

Solidarity and Support for Kuwait

President El‑Sisi spoke with His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al‑Ahmad Al‑Jaber Al‑Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, offering full support and solidarity in response to Iranian missiles that targeted Kuwaiti territory. The president condemned any violation of Arab sovereignty and stressed that such actions endanger regional security and stability. He reiterated that dialogue and diplomacy are the only effective means to resolve the ongoing crisis, warning against relying on military solutions that could deepen chaos across the region.

Message to Saudi Arabia

In a telephone call with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, El‑Sisi voiced full solidarity with the Kingdom, emphasizing that any infringement upon Saudi sovereignty constitutes a direct threat to Arab national and regional security. He underscored the need to strengthen regional and international efforts to contain the escalation and affirmed that political and diplomatic paths remain paramount to overcoming the crisis.

UAE: Condemnation and Call for Restraint

Following Iranian strikes on UAE territory, El‑Sisi reiterated Egypt’s categorical rejection of any breach of Emirati sovereignty in a call with President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He warned that military escalation risks plunging the region into a cycle of violence, instability, and bloodshed and insisted that restraint and diplomacy are essential to avoid further regional upheaval. The Emirati leadership expressed appreciation for Egypt’s supportive stance.

Support for Bahrain and Broader Arab Security

President El‑Sisi also spoke with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, affirming full solidarity with the Bahraini leadership and people after Iranian targets struck Bahraini territory. He condemned the attacks as violations of sovereignty that threaten wider regional security and highlighted the need for political solutions over military escalation.

Message to Qatar

In his phone call with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar, El‑Sisi stated that any violation of Arab state sovereignty undermines overall regional stability and increases the complexity of the crisis. He reiterated Egypt’s backing for de‑escalation efforts and the primacy of diplomatic engagement to address tensions.
