Ramez Galal’s Cheese Ad Sparks Ahly vs Zamalek Drama… Again

Another Day, Another Feud

Just when you thought the Ahly vs Zamalek rivalry couldn’t spill into more random corners of life—Ramez Galal dropped a cheese ad that lit the internet on fire.

Released just an hour earlier, the commercial quickly went viral… and not just for its dairy appeal.

What’s Got Fans Talking?

In the ad, fans spotted two suspicious red stripes painted on a plane with the phrase “Free Fall” across it. Cue the conspiracy theories—many Zamalek fans were convinced the stripes were a jab at their club, sparking heated online debates and accusations of hidden shade.

The Man Behind the Cheese Speaks Out

Mohamed El-Damaty, chairman of the dairy company—and notably, an Al Ahly board member—was quick to clear the air. He insisted the ad had nothing to do with football, and that people were simply reading too much into it.

To top it off, he joked that Ramez wore white at the end of the ad just to keep things neutral and drama-free.

The Verdict?

Whether coincidence or clever marketing, the buzz around the ad proves one thing: in Egypt, even cheese can’t escape the Ahly vs Zamalek rivalry.
