The internet was abuzz after makeup artist Dina Hisham, daughter of sexologist Dr. Heba Kotb, shared her wedding photos and videos online.
What was supposed to be a joyous occasion quickly became the subject of fierce online criticism. Social media users took issue with Dina’s high-energy antics, from her exuberant dancing to what many considered “excessive” kissing, sparking a flood of backlash.

The moment the wedding footage went live, Dina was met with a wave of criticism. Her actions at the event – particularly her energetic dancing, her kissing her husband and the way she interacted with guests – left many viewers less than impressed.
Some internet users described her as “hyperactive” and “over the top,” voicing their disapproval over her playful and spirited stunts, including her enthusiastic moves with the DJ.
In a particular segment of the wedding video, Dina’s energy seemed to escalate beyond what some deemed appropriate for a formal setting. While weddings are typically seen as occasions of celebration, many felt that Dina’s behavior crossed a line, earning harsh criticism.
Although the public’s reaction was negative, Dina’s mother, Dr. Heba Kotb, was just as surprised as everyone else by the events at the wedding.
In an interview, she admitted that she was caught off guard by some of her daughter’s actions, especially the high-energy moments. However, despite the shock, Heba stood by her daughter with an unwavering defense.
She referred to her daughter as “full of life” – a term that has followed Dina since her childhood. Heba revealed that when Dina was younger, her teacher had described her as “full of life” instead of hyperactive, a label that Dina had embraced ever since.
While the internet was divided over Dina’s wedding behavior, Heba remained proud of her daughter, emphasizing that what others may perceive as too much is simply a manifestation of Dina’s joyful energy and zest for life.
While there was no shortage of critics, there were also plenty of voices defending Dina. Many saw her as a free spirit who wasn’t afraid to be herself.
These supporters argued that Dina’s high-energy stunts were simply an expression of her personality and passion. To them, her actions were far from inappropriate—they were a celebration of who Dina is and the love she felt on her special day.
