There Will Be Flight Cancellations in Egypt Following the U.S. and Israel Strikes on Iran

EgyptAir has announced that some flights may face cancellations due to ongoing regional tensions affecting air traffic. The airline is coordinating with authorities and external stations to monitor operational status amid the current situation.

Earlier today, the United States and Israel launched a large-scale joint military operation against Iran. The strikes come after weeks of escalating tensions, U.S. military deployments in the region, and repeated threats of action.

In a video posted on his platform Truth Social, former President Donald Trump stated that U.S. forces have begun “major combat operations” against Iran, describing the offensive as “massive and ongoing.” The stated goals of the operation are to destroy Iran’s missile and military infrastructure, prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons, and neutralize immediate threats from the Iranian regime. Trump added that the operation could last several days and that casualties are expected.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense confirmed that it carried out a “preemptive strike” on Iran, targeting dozens of military sites, including ballistic missile factories and nuclear facilities, in coordination with U.S. forces.

Authorities are urging travelers to check flight statuses with airlines before heading to airports.
