In the clip, the mother is filming her daughters when she jokes that one of them sat in the sun for so long she looked darker — using an Arabic slur the girls called the “Z word.”

The girls immediately shut it down. They told their mom it’s a slur, comparing it to the N-word, and explained that using it is offensive and implies looking down on people for their skin color.

Generations Clash

The mother, clearly surprised, brushed it off at first. She argued that when she was younger, everyone used the word casually without thinking twice.

But her daughters stood their ground.

They reminded her that times have changed and that what once passed as a harmless word is now widely recognized as hurtful and racist.

One of the girls even pointed out that saying it in public could land someone in serious trouble — or even in jail in certain places.

Social Media Reacts

The video quickly spread online and people were divided.

Many users praised the girls for their awareness, calling them smart, outspoken, and proof that today’s generation is more mindful about racism and language.

On the other hand, some viewers felt more sympathy for the mother’s perspective.

They said they grew up hearing the same word in everyday life and argued that this concept is mostly a Western idea being forced on older generations.
