A viral video showing a young man being forced to wear a female dance costume and stand on a chair in the middle of a street in Benha, Qalyubia has caused huge outrage online.
The footage, which shows the man being beaten and humiliated by a group of 9 people (including two women), quickly spread across social media, sparking discussions about public humiliation and personal safety.
Authorities reported that the incident took place on February 12, when the victim, 22-year-old Islam, was lured from his home by force. Witnesses said the attackers threatened his family and dragged him into the street, beating him and forcing him into the dance costume before filming the ordeal. Investigations revealed that the attack was revenge-related: Islam had a romantic relationship with the daughter of one of the perpetrators, whose family repeatedly rejected his marriage proposals.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that all 9 suspects, including 7 men and 2 women, were identified and arrested. When confronted, they admitted to assaulting the victim, causing multiple injuries and publicly humiliating him. Legal action is now underway.
