With Tears and Gratitude .. An Indonesian Graduate’s Heartfelt Goodbye to Al-Azhar

With tears in her eyes and a heart full of gratitude, an Indonesian graduate took her final steps through the historic halls of Al-Azhar University, marking the end of a journey that shaped her life in more ways than one.

In a deeply emotional farewell, she paused to thank Egypt the country that became her second home and the Egyptian classmates who stood by her side throughout years of study, laughter, and growth. What began as an academic pursuit turned into a chapter filled with friendships, shared memories, and a sense of belonging far from home.

Her message was simple yet powerful a thank you to Al-Azhar for the knowledge, to the university for the guidance, and to her friends for the moments that made the years unforgettable. As she walked away, tears reflected both the weight of goodbye and the beauty of what she gained along the way.

Some journeys don’t end with an ending, but with gratitude. And sometimes, the hardest goodbyes are simply a quiet way of saying thank you.
