The view is great directly in front of the Nile. It was a lovely fine dine experience without the extra formalities. They gave us recommendations that did not disappoint. The steaks were my favourite. The elevator broke down tho and we had no other option of going down and the manager refused to give me a free glass of wine which was sad. Would definitely recommend the restaurant and definitely planning on coming again in my next trip to Egypt.

My husband wore shorts and we were both wearing tshirts. It could be our ignorance for not checking the standards but we were the only guests, of course it would be bad business to turn us away. Albeit we were hidden away from all roving eyes. The good thing about being furthest away from everyone else is that we were not bothered by smoke, ashtrays are on every table. Great quality food with a pricetag to boot. As nondrinkers we were surprised to be given a bill for the equivalent of $75 USD. Can't complain the service was excellent and the food was great. They charged us a cover charge, service charge of 12% and a VAT of 14%. It all adds up. As service charge is included we didn't tip. Is this normal? Space has a lot of potential but unfortunately when we were there in mid January it was somewhat ruined by the tacky Christmas decorations still up. There was a feint smell of lingering smoke however because we were there soon after opening with not that many people it was not that bad. The introductory bread was good and freshly baked I think (it was warm and fluffy from the inside). The liver and sausages with tahini sauce were amazing, the spices and recipe were on point. The beef with mushroom sauce was good but wasnt that great. The beef was cooked properly but the mushroom sauce was lacking some taste. The veggies were good. I was disappointed that the french fries were obviously not homemade and just deep fried like fast food restaurants even though this meal is expensive. The decor and music were good the tables and utensils were old and needed updating. Also, I came at 11.30 thinking they close at 2 am then turns out they close at 12, but the waiter made sure that I take my time and didn’t even mention it until I brought it up. Recommended if you are looking for a calm restaurant with good French food.

We arrived around 17:45 and the place was practically empty. Because of Ramadan, we were told that we can order food after 18:30. We decided to start with drinks and wait till 18:30. It still took 20 minutes to get those. The "healthy drinks" were nothing of the sort - 97% soda. Around 18:20 it seemed like the whole personnel sat on a table to eat, including our server. Until 18:50, full 20 minutes after the time they were supposed to start serving food, we could only watch our server eat. I specifically asked for protein-rich vegetarian food, and there weren't any options other than the Mexican salad and pizza - I ordered both. When the salad came (it was a long wait), it was missing the beans. After I asked about it, they took my plate and returned a full 15 minutes later with a few beans sprinkled on top. The cherry on the cake was the pizza with their "special dough" - it was frozen pizza tasting like cardboard! Looking back, our decision to stay for drinks and wait for the food was probably not what they wanted us to do. The whole experience was surreal. They also never apologized for the longer wait or the missing beans. They charge 12% service + 14% VAT and this was only mentioned in Arabic, even on the English version of the menu. I'm not sure if they actively tried to sabotage our dining experience, but I would avoid this place at all cost. I will be suing them since I got food poisoning from there.

However, prior to our arrival we booked through a number found on a social media post (insta), we confirmed that we would be a party of 2 women. We were offered the choice to pay a table at 3000 LE or sharing our table with two other woman's (we don't know them but basically sharing the cost). Price was established at 750LE per person (our total bill would have to be at minimum 1500LE). We talked to the lady at the entrance and explained she seemed to understand and noted my name on a paper. She placed us at a very nice table near the scene, we were thrilled! We arrived very early (10:30) and saw the whole place filling up. Our table remained desperately empty. However, before 3am (closing time) we were greeted again by the opening lady. Couldn't really understand her with the noise, we paid our bill which was way more than 3000LE and met her afterwards. She demanded that we pay the full price because "we said that we would be four"... Yeah table for four but party of two... She seemed confused even one of our server try to tell her that we paid way over the budget for a private table. Thanks I had proof of what I was saying (WhatsApp convo confirming the "party of 2 sharing" and even the bill that we just paid to the club). She left kinda us really confused saying that someone lied to her... That was a little weird. Anyway, great club, amazing performers, food and cocktail are really good. Expect Arabic music during the show and A-pop during the Pre-show, super chill. Really the place to be if your in the mood to party. However be aware, you have to spend. We were happy at the end, just wished we wouldn't have avoided this situation happening as we were enjoying the last song of Hassan shakoush! Anyway kudos to our Mohamed server (the one with the Moustache) which was a real gentleman and sweet server! The lady at the toilet is doing the best job, she's maintening high hygiene and caring for every single client. Definetly on my go back list.
