The second flight was launched with Eco-friendly products, from Cairo to Athens, with 144 passengers on board, in the presence of Pilot Mohamed Moussa Badawy, Head of Safety and Quality Sector at EgyptAir Holding Company, Pilot Karim Gamil, Chairman of the Committee for Preparation and Preparation for the Climate Change Conference COP27 on behalf of the holding company for EgyptAir, and a group of EgyptAir leaders.
The company aims to reduce the use of single-use plastic on its flights replacing it with eco-friendly materials, in addition to replacing plastic bags used in duty-free markets with environmentally friendly bags.
As well as equipping all the restrooms of the National Company at airports with eco-friendly products to provide a “Green Travel” experience throughout the company’s trips this year.
The company head emphasized the need to support sustainable development initiatives that work towards reducing environmental pollution, and carbon emissions, and striving to use renewable energy to confront climate change as all international recommendations and legislation in the field of aviation, according to the Middle East News Agency.
This comes within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Civil Aviation to achieve sustainable development, in accordance with the directives of the Egyptian state.
As Egypt is preparing to host the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP27.
