A Surprising Reconciliation

In a surprising turn of events, the long-standing tension between two of Egypt’s most iconic musical figures, Amr Diab and Amr Mostafa, appears to be easing. Fans were left stunned when Amr Diab shared a photo of himself with Amr Mostafa on Instagram, captioned: “My brother Amr Mostafa, a thousand blessings to you, and may your audience always enjoy your art.” This unexpected gesture of goodwill, coming after years of public disagreements, raises the question—could this be the beginning of a new chapter for the two artists?

The Rift That Shook the Music World

The conflict between Amr Diab and Amr Mostafa began to boil over in August 2020, when Mustafa criticized Diab’s hit song “Amaken El Sahar” on his Facebook account. The post, though later deleted, fueled speculation and set the stage for what would become an ongoing feud.

Things escalated further in 2021 when Amr Mostafa appeared on the “Hebr Sery” program. During the interview, he expressed intense frustration when the host mentioned Diab’s name. “Just mentioning his name really annoys me,” Mostafa stated, visibly agitated. The tension was palpable, but the root of Mostafa’s anger was far deeper.
