Local Farmers Inspire Students At Safwa School’s Palm Festival
The festival offered students a chance to explore both the cultural and practical sides of growing palm trees. They participated in interactive workshops to learn modern farming techniques and heard inspiring stories from experienced farmers. They were introduced to recent developments in date production and palm-related products. Also, there were different types and sizes of palm seedlings, fresh dates, date syrup, and many items made from palm trees like baskets, fans, and woven products. The event highlighted the many uses of the palm in traditional crafts and food.
The students enjoyed the festival and shared how they had learned new skills and gained a deeper appreciation for the palm tree. The main aim of the Palm Festival was to help students understand the important role of the palm tree in their heritage and culture.
