According to the Saudi Gazette, the official spokesman for the kingdom’s Ministry of Health, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali, has said that the third dose will be given to those with chronic kidney disease and organ transplants.

In a press conference, Dr. Ali has also emphasized the need for booster shots for those at high risk specifying people who suffer from immune disorders.

He also stated the vaccine is still not approved for children under 12 and a study to that effect is underway.

As of yesterday, the kingdom has successfully administered 38 million COVID-19 vaccines.
