Teachers Abroad Facing Travel-Bans Can Finally Travel Directly To Saudi

Avatar

Faculty members and teachers from universities, colleges, schools and vocational and technical institutes from countries facing travel bans would be permitted direct entry into the Kingdom, the Ministry of Interior(MOI) stated on Tuesday. In addition to teachers and faculty members, scholarship students will also be allowed direct entry.

This means that they no longer need to spend 14 days in a third country before entering Saudi.

With schools and colleges having resumed classes in person nationwide, laxxed travel rules for teachers and faculty members comes as a breather for many stranded abroad. There are currently 10 countries that face the travel ban and they include Turkey, Brazil, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Indonesia and Egypt.

The MOI has also lifted a travel ban on under 18s from visiting Bahrain.
