King Fahd Causeway Has Officially Launched E-Payment Services For All Travelers

Hera Shabbir

Considering the amount of people coming in and out of the King Fahd Causeway, roads are bound to get crowded. From the multiple stops and immigration processes, getting from Bahrain to Saudi and vice versa can get quite lengthy. However, the Kingdom of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia both worked together to launch an e-payment service.

Travelers will now be able to electronically pay at each stop without rummaging for cash!

The King Fahd Causeway Authority (KFCA) opened up four e-payment gates on the site, that can be accessed via an application. All travelers have to do is download the KFCA’s Jesr (Causeway) app, and pay the entry fees! The application provides multiple smart-services including number plate recognition, QR codes, app payments, and radio frequency identification. The causeway also offers free Wi-GFi for all digital apps that may be needed during travel 👏

The KFCA offers free Wi-Fi in Saudi Arabia to support digital access for travellers using the app.
