Saudi Residents Raise An Incredible SR757 Million For Charity In Just 10 Days
A Saudi charity campaign has proven that the generosity of the people of this country knows no bounds, as people from all corners of the country chimed in to raise an astounding SR757 million.
What’s perhaps even more remarkable is that they managed to do so in just 10 days!
Ramadan is a time when most Muslims donate heavily to charitable causes. The last 10 days of Ramadan in particular are known for being a time of boundless generosity, which is exactly when this impressive sum was raised.
The National Platform for Charity Work’s donation drive kicked off with a bang on April 10, thanks to a generous SR70 million donation from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman.
Over subsequent days, donations started pouring in, just like they did for the Turkey and Syria earthquake relief efforts. The end result being a huge SR757 million that will be used for charitable causes around the world.
