Saudis Enthusiastically Take Part In Princess Reema-Led Big Cat Awareness Walk

Avatar

A seven-kilometer walk dubbed the “catwalk” took place yesterday and Saudis took to it in a big way. The campaign was organized by a US-based nonprofit called Catmosphere that was founded by Princess Reema bint Bandar Al-Saud, the Saudi ambassador to the United States. The walk was held to create awareness of the 7 big cats that include jaguars, cheetahs, lions, pumas, leopards, snow leopards and tigers.

The awareness walks took place around the country.

AlUla, home of the Arabian Leopard, witnessed an unexpectedly large turnout.

The Aussie Ambassador to Saudi Arabia was there too.

High ranking Saudi officials were spotted at the walk.

It wasn’t just taking place in Saudi, similar walks took place all over the globe.
